HbA1c Test - CLOVER A1c Testing Kit:

• The HbA1c test is a fully analytical test based on boronate affinity technology to determine the percentage of hemoglobin A1c in human whole blood.

• The CLOVER A1c test cartridge includes the cartridge unit and chemical reagent package, containing the necessary chemicals to determine HbA1c levels, along with a blood collection tip for sample collection.

• The chemical reagent package contains pre-filled reaction and washing solutions. A blood sample (4 microliters) is collected at the collection tip of the reagent package and then inserted into the cartridge. The blood is immediately lysed, releasing hemoglobin and the boronate resin, which binds to the glycated hemoglobin.

• The assembled cartridge is then inserted into the CLOVER A1c analyzer, where it rotates, placing the blood sample mixture in the measurement area. The total hemoglobin in the blood sample is measured through LED light reflection and photodiode (PD) detection.

• The cartridge is then rotated again, allowing the washing solution to wash away the non-glycated hemoglobin from the sample, enabling optical measurement of the glycated hemoglobin.

• The ratio of glycated hemoglobin to total hemoglobin in the blood sample is calculated.
